Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP, Inc.) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization committed to providing cost-effective, community-based supports to help struggling youth become productive family and community members. Youth who do not respond to cookie cutter social service approaches may ultimately be subject to out-of-home or institutional placements. YAP, Inc. provides paid, trained and culturally competent Advocates who facilitate strength-based, individually tailored and holistic wraparound services to help youth and families with complex challenges and needs stay and grow together. Last year alone, we served more than 20,000 young people and their families across 26 states, including South Carolina, and more specifically the Upstate Region.
