Key involvement in development of property DBMS system, commercial and residential utility applications, purchase invoice logging and document archiving system.• Group VAT planning – operating under the partial exemption scheme. Implementation of a ‘Special Method’ calculation, accepted by HMRC successfully allowing greater VAT efficiency• Company Secretary responsible for efficient administration of the group, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and ensuring the decisions of the MD are instigated. • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, Home office representatives and regional offices • Manage a team of 5 which include a Hotel Group Financial Controller (CIMA), an Assistant Accountant (ACCA part-qualified), an Accounting Technician (AAT).
