Principal in the Electric Generation Interconnection department responsible for tariff analysis and modifications and training program management.I am responsible to track regulatory activities and tariff modifications relating to interconnection under both CPUC and FERC jurisdiction. This includes PG&E's Rule 21 (CPUC jurisdictional), Wholesale Distribution Tariff (FERC jurisdictional), interconnection rate schedules such as Net Energy Metering (CPUC jurisdictional), and the CAISO's Tariff (FERC jurisdictional). Along with the regulatory activities, I support the successful implementation and execution of the interconnection tariffs via tool tips, website updates, web based and instructor led trainings, etc.

Participant in a one year Entry Engineer Rotation ProgramROTATION 1: Generation Interconnection Services (GIS)- Created process flow map for Net Energy Metering (NEM) photovoltaic program.- Wrote an external communication brief regarding a PG&E rate change that had a significant impact on NEM program participants.- Developed and supported the PG&E internal process to ensure compliance with the rate change.ROTATION 2: Gas Asset Strategy- Created and utilized an Excel macro to manipulate image files (Stoner software’s SynerGEE specific format) to be posted behind PG&E’s new natural gas pipeline modeling and mapping tool.- Learned the planning principles and processes in maintaining natural gas pipeline service.ROTATION 3: Operational Performance Management.- Updated in SAP all PG&E project’s work management location to respective PG&E’s new Resource Management Centers.

Evaluated authority to construct and permission to operate Emergency Standby Diesel Generator applications and granted approval based on engineering studies.- Conducted engineering studies to determine the allowable number of hours of operation based on risk screen analysis of diesel fuel emissions and subsequently issued Permission to Operate Permits for Standby Generators.- Represented BAAQMD as the customer point of contact and ensured timely responses to any concerns raised.
