CurrentResponsible for the planning, organization, and direction of the EJMP's operations and philanthropic programs. Develops and implements accounting policies, procedures, and operational reporting/metrics. Engages with the local community to better understand the needs of partnered organizations. Oversees and reports on the organization's results and status to the Founding Trustee.Established in 2010 with an allocation from the original Prince Charitable Trusts of 1947, the EJMP Fund for Philanthropy honors and advances the original, nearly 100-year-old charitable legacy of Frederick H. Prince and his wife, Abbie Norman Prince. Based in Newport County, Rhode Island, EJMP maintains a heavily local philanthropic focus on certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in good standing, typically with primary interest and investment in the following categories of charitable endeavors and activities:• Preservation and restoration of the local natural environment and habitats• Local historical and environmental research and publications and non-profit media• “Bootstrap” endeavors aimed at improving the lives of local citizens, with particular emphasis on promoting equal cultural, educational, recreational, social welfare, and developmental opportunities for youth of all socioeconomic backgrounds• Animal welfare / protection / rehabilitation and related activities• Preservation of the integrity of local historical landmarks• Non-profit local educational and cultural institutions
