I received first-hand experience in the financial services industry by acquiring knowledge about specific services provided to financial advisors. While at IAA, I directly contacted advisors and informed them of changes to their rep ids. I learned about rep ids themselves and the different accounts associated with the ids (SWM 1 vs SWM 2 vs SAM). I also reviewed new account forms and was able to see what the onboarding process looks like for new advisors. In addition, I was able to speak with and learn from each department in IAA, such as business consulting and development, investments, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, and compliance.All in all, I gained valuable experience at IAA because I attained pertinent knowledge about financial advising from a services perspective. I really look forward to using what I learned throughout my career ahead.
