I have taught applied piano, piano pedagogy, piano literature and accompanying at Birmingham-Southern College since 1980. I have been the Artist-in-Residence since 2000.My association with Steinway and Sons began in 1994, when I was named a Steinway Artist. I became a Steinway Presenter in 2002. I give recitals and workshops sponsored by Steinway at Steinway piano galleries throughout the United States.I was on the Executive Board of the World Piano Pedagogy Conference from 2004 until February 2010. I have given workshops and mini-sessions at World Piano Pedagogy Conferences in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Dallas and Atlanta.I have performed in China, Taiwan and Australia, and I enjoy travelling, meeting other performers and teachers, and working to keep the live performance available to today's listening public.Specialties: Piano Teacher Workshops, solo recitals, including "specialty recitals" such as the 24 Chopin Etudes, the Bach Goldberg Variations, the Liszt Transcendental Etudes."House Concerts with a Theme," concerts designed for music lovers and also concerts designed as fund raisers.
