Provide XML development and support for forms and technical documentation.As a contractor with the Internal Revenue Service, I provide XML technical support for IRS document authors and develop scripting customizations and enhancements for the XML authoring software they use. I also develop XSLT stylesheets to produce PDF, HTML, and ePub versions of IRS tax instructions and publications from XML source files.

For the NEH grant-funded Samuel Johnson’s Dictionary Online project with the English Department and the Center for Humanities and Digital Research, I contributed to the development of a searchable online version of the 1755 and 1773 editions of Samuel Johnson’s Dictionary of the English Language. In this role I developed a custom XML schema based on Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) guidelines to mark up dictionary content, employed XSL transformations to render online representations of the headwords, and guided student volunteers in contributing to the XML markup and facsimile image manipulation.

I provided instructional and pedagogical support to faculty members at the University of Central Florida individually and in groups, including assisting faculty with curating course content in UCF’s implementation of the Canvas learning management system, as well as providing technical support to faculty for university-administered software such as Zoom Meetings and Qualtrics XM.I contributed to the planning and coordination of annual faculty development conferences and new faculty orientations. I regularly designed surveys in Qualtrics and analyzed data from submitted workshop and conference proposals and evaluations.I was responsible for several channels of communication between the Faculty Center and various units and individuals at the university by coordinating the design, production, and editing of a yearly printed faculty handbook; designing, laying out, editing, and producing a bi-annual faculty newsletter using Adobe InDesign; assembling and preparing weekly and monthly email messages using MailChimp containing news, announcements, and workshop scheduling; and creating and updating content for websites using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and PHP.
