Review all incoming proposal requests, drawings, and scope for telecommunications infrastructure RFPs. Assign bids to estimators, and investigate opportunities for our Security and Audio Visual divisions. Review completed proposals for accuracy, labor hours, material pricing, and set labor rates/proposal mark ups. Negotiate project buyouts with general contractors and direct bid customers. Directly responsible for building relationships w material distributors, negotiating project buyouts, and assisting project managers with tracking labor and material costs to bring projects in under cost. Oversee management of three estimators and one purchasing agent.

Head estimator for the communications department. Involved in all aspects of estimating including new construction, renovations, work station and data center build outs. Responsible for reviewing bid packages, blueprints, site visits, material pricing, bid letters and scope reviews with end users and general contractors. Estimate projects for various financial, pharmaceutical, and private/public sector companies. Vast knowledge of the majority of telecommunications manufacturers, including Systimax, CommScope, Belden, Ortronics, Seimon, Superior/Essex, Berk-Tek, Mohawk, Panduit, Corning, Leviton, etc.

Started in the Communications Department as a Communications department assistant. Responsible for light material ordering, filing and communications labeling. Role expanded to create and manage a service department supporting small cable installations and repairs. Department handled trouble tickets, dispatching technicians, client follow up and billing. Service Department presently generates in excess of $100K per year in billing.Worked to become Head Estimator for the communications department.
