• Researched the environmental and conservation history of 5 sub-watersheds of the St. Joseph River in southwest Michigan in order to gather background data to use in Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) and Great Lakes Fishery Trust (GLFT) projects.• Learned new data recording procedures for communicating field observations in GLFT and GLRI projects, such as erosion, shoreline development, impact of immediate and surrounding environment on the waterway, bridge and culvert structure information through GoPro and Survey123. • Monitored two inland lakes in southwest Michigan using Egle’s Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program, with a partner. Being proficient in this activity led our team to be able to show other groups in the community how to participate in this program.• Surveyed public land, private land, and roadside right-of-ways, in a team setting, for invasive species to conduct cut-stump and foliar spray invasive species management practices.• Installed Spotted Lantern Fly traps through out southern Michigan and examined them weekly to ensure the invasive species is detected before damage is done to the local environment and to connect with the community.

• Conducted research on various native and invasive plant species in Newaygo County, Michigan to create a sustainable habitat on 15 acres of US Forest Service land for the Karner Blue Butterfly.• Conserved native grasslands and oak savannahs by creating seed mixes, applying pesticides to invasive plant species, and planting native grasses and wildflower seeds to promote sustainable growth.• Acquired and transported approximately 50 deceased wildlife samples for chronic wasting disease testing and necropsy analysis at the Michigan State University Veterinary Diagnostic lab.• Operated a tractor, a bulldozer, an ATV, chainsaws, brush saws, and pesticide applicators to aid in habitat restoration and state game area maintenance across Cass and Branch County, Michigan.

• Performed yard work tasks with a team of 3-10 crew members, such as lawn mowing, weed whacking, and irrigation repair in outdoor climates, including inclement weather, for 6-8 hours a day.• Exhibited problem-solving skills through various complications, such as equipment failures, in routine operations. Being flexible and adaptable ensured tasks were accomplished efficiently.• Upheld safety protocol in wearing proper gear, such as eye protection, gloves, and closed toes boots, during routine operations.

• Led younger high school students during various religious weekend retreats. Participated behind the scenes in order to make a successful program for the students. • Oversaw and encouraged a team of approximately 20 student volunteers to strategically develop an enjoyable weekend religious experience for local students.• Managed feedback from 20 student volunteers and organized it in a simple but effective format for supervisors to understand.
