The SAAC represents Slippery Rock University athletics within the college, local community, athletic conference, and NCAA. The goals of SAAC are to provide information to the student athlete body, run fundraisers and events, organize community service, and vote on NCAA and Conference legislation. Lead bi-weekly meetings, communicate with athletes, teams, and coaches, and collaborate with subcommittees to create events and distribute information.

Shadowed head strength and conditioning coach at Slippery Rock University. Observed women’s softball, soccer, lacrosse, and basketball. Practiced developing warm-ups and learned aspects of program development and progressions.

Assist with day-to-day tasks around the Athletic Training room on campus.

Advise and lead patients through comprehensive exercise plans. Actively communicate with patients and DPTs to ensure safe and proper treatment. Organize and clean equipment in the clinic. Continued education through Athletico sponsored prep courses.

ELE engages students in interactive leadership activities on campus and in bi-weekly meeting to help first year students in becoming comfortable on campus, meeting peers, and developing leadership skills. Peer mentors lead group and individual meetings with ELE students to teach, advise, and discuss topics including communication, values and ethics, group dynamics, critical thinking, conflict resolution, diversity, and responding to change and ambiguity. As a team, the ELE peer mentors collaborate to plan and improve presentations on various leadership skills.
