In this position I was responsible for day to day operations of an industrial construction and consulting company located in Pittsburgh, Pa. My responsibilities include but are not limited to; managing all corporate operations, implementing programs to ensure attainment of business plans for growth and profit, providing direction and structure for the company’s operations, implementing improved management methods to generate higher ROI, developing strategies and policies aligned with company goals, providing mentoring and guidance to subordinates and other employees. During the past three years the company owner investigated several coal and gas/oil projects of which I performed the financial, operational and logistical due diligence. In addition, I acted as company land manager; l whereby I researched deeds and negotiated Lease Agreements with surface and mineral owners.

In this position I was responsible for the day to day operation of a manufacturing facility with emphasis on the metals industry. Projects included manufacturing, rebuilding and shipping rolling mill equipment for Alcoa, Siemens/VAI, Asia Aluminum and manufacturing of an industrial furnace for Olson Industries and Swindell Dressler. Since the start of my tenure, I implemented a Quality Assurance Program and improved safety plans.

In this position I was responsible to provided Sr. Project Management and operations expertise to a Fortune 500 company. My responsibilities included overseeing all projects and operational disciplines including project engineering, purchasing, project job sites, cost control, quality control and scheduling. In addition, I implemented plans and policies for the safe and effective operation of all project job sites. Developed and implemented a project cost control plan.

In this position I was responsible to manage personnel expediting, inspecting and shipping equipment both domestically and internationally. This included daily management of expediters, inspectors and shipping agents located in China, Europe and the USA. This position also included departmental manpower staffing, cost reporting, budgeting, development of contract change notices and client relations. Additional duties included management of plant operations and the purchasing department during the CEO's absence.

In this position I was responsible to management all major projects as well as formulate and implement new management procedures including cost control, and contract administration. Due to a down turn in the steel market relative to DMS Bliss' expertise, I elected to return to my previous employer.

In this position I was responsible to coordinate permitting, technical and commercial RFQ's and interfaced with the clients Independent Engineers for a $147M turnkey project located in Alabama. This position reported to Executive management.

In this position I was responsible to administer the Project Contract and to direct the Project Team from engineering through installation, commissioning and final acceptance of a $71M Hot Rolling Mill Project located in the Czech Republic. Responsibilities included managing a staff of twenty-five domestic and expatriates at site, who were responsible for engineering, purchasing, expediting, and installation and commissioning. This position also required daily interfacing with the client’s project team including the project executive team, engineering, accounting and legal personnel. I developed an overall project procurement plan with the client. Participated in and authorized all major subcontract expenditures and change orders. I was the focal point for daily project meetings with the clients Project Director from Kaiser Engineering and also directed the monthly project financial claim meetings with client and owner, Nova Hut.

In this position I was responsible to coordinate all home office engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, expediting and shipping of equipment built in the USA. Additionally, I was responsible to administer manufacturing contracts, expedite equipment and technical documentation, budget forecasting and to provide Change Order control for the auxiliary equipment supply contracts including a 250 ton per hour reheat furnace manufactured by Stein Heurtey, roll grinders from WHEMCO, ventilation equipment from Bush International and the main drive motors from Ansaldo.

In this position I was responsible to administer manufacturing contracts, expedite equipment and technical documentation, budget forecast and to provide Change Order control for the auxiliary equipment supply on a Hot and Cold Rolling Mill Project in Thailand. Equipment included overhead cranes from China, roll grinders, roll etch machine, substations, ventilation equipment, generators, slitting lines and handling equipment from the USA, push pull pickle line and batch annealing furnaces from Austria.
