I have operated printing presses for twenty-five years and mastered every facet of the industry. But now in 2019, the industry is going digital and my skills are no longer needed. so, to remain relevant in the work force, I have obtained my A+ certification, and I am ready to start a new career in the information technology field. I am seeking an entry level job in IT. I understand that I have much to learn. During my time as a pressman, I learned valuable troubleshooting skills, and to to pay close attention to detail. In the printing industry deadlines were always looming, so I was forced to solve problems under pressure in a timely manner. Though I do not have any experience in the IT field, I feel that I could easily adapt these skills to the IT industry. I am competent in troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues. I Built my own PC and have performed preventative maintenance and repairs on my own machine. I also troubleshoot networking problems from time to time. I am studying for my CompTIA N+ certification and plan on pursuing other certifications to make me more valuable to my employer. I have a strong work ethic and a passion for technology. If just given a chance, I feel that I could be a perfect fit for any company. I enjoy working with, and being a part of a team. But can work alone if need be. I have over ten years experience in customer service and love taking care of customers. I am currently working at Target and a major part of my job is customer service. I am always greeting and engaging guests, asking them if I can help them find what they are looking or retrieving items from the backroom that might not be on the sales floor. In closing, I feel that my love of technology, customer service skills, and my willingness to learn will make me an excellent IT professional.
