With a career in Health and Social Care spanning over the last 14 years, I have enjoyed supporting people in a variety of roles and am now developing my career towards providing a deeper and more therapeutic form of care and support. I aspire to work as a therapist within residential rehabilitation settings, with a key interest in addiction. Other interests of mine are supporting the LGBTQ+ community and a future interest in psychosexual work.My counselling roots are in humanistic counselling, yet I find that I integrate aspects of Gestalt and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) into my practice. I enjoy challenging and adapting negative thought patterns with clients to promote improved self awareness, growth and change work, whilst working together to better understand and identify emotions and experiences.
