Working as part of a small department within a larger nationwide company to deliver off course events.Responsibilities included but not limited to, all hiring and firing of seasonal staff, training in all procedure and health and safety. Planning the race calendar for all staff accommodation, flights, resources and reacting to real-time issues to ensure minimal impact on the execution of our operation as a whole. Managed the maintenance and R&D for event facilities (marquees, fencing, tables etc) during the out-of-season time between each annual race calendar. This included developing strong relationships with local suppliers in order to ensure our time sensitive issues were resolved as quickly as possible. Part of the maintenance of company assets also included the role of fleet manager for (22) company vehicles, ranging from personal SUV's and cargo vans, to HGV's. My responsibilities didn't fall short of budgetary management. It was always a imperative to come in on budget and work with new annual budgets to better each past years performance. This often meant i was requested to work outside of the parameters of my job description to help out other departments so that as a whole, we could deliver the event we had all been planning for months My time at NZ Racing Board was spent implementing multiple S.O.P's and I'm proud to say I played a huge part in some of the worlds largest Race Day events around the world.
