The EMS SATCOM Multi-Protocol Gateway provides an interface for applications to communicate with mobile clients connected to satellite networks. Applications can send messages to and from a mobile using a web service client or a short burst data client. Version 2 introduced the short burst data client and reduced message delivery time from 2 minutes to less than 30 seconds.
