I created the Cope Foundation 19 approximately 1 year after my son died in 2019. Cope, children of opioid parents and empowerment is created to work with the children that are survived from an opioid abusive parent. We work with the children that have suffered the loss of a parent due to death, abandonment, or imprisonment. Our focus is primarily for the children. Although we do offer adult programming guidance. Recently acquiring county support, this gives us the opportunity to support an aid in the beneficial future of so many children. Our foundation educates not only children but adults about the opioid pandemic and the consequences from the addiction. Being a non-profit, we are always seeking new funders that want to join forces with us and collaborate your business with us. I am a 8th Dan Master level black belt in Fudozen Shorinji Kempo karate. I have trained since 1979 in a variety of martial arts. I am an inductee to the Western New York Black belt Hall of Fame. I own The Family Martial Arts Center dojo in Fredonia NY. We host several programs throughout the community. We work personally with mentally handicapped autistic clients and many other disabilities in our programs.I am a family man with two surviving sons and a wonderful wife. My life would be described as peaceful and very satisfying. I am an avid poem writer and have several published in literary books. I have written two songs in memory of my son, titled A Father's Solace. I am currently writing a new one which will praise God for giving me the strength and stability to be who I am today. I Will be finished writing a book within a year. and plan on publishing for many to learn from and to realize that we are not alone in our struggles and suffering in life.
