I am an aerospace engineer specializing in rotorcraft and vertical lift. I am currently a graduate research assistant in the Alfred Gessow Rotorcraft Center (AGRC) at the University of Maryland, College Park. My research pertains to the study of aeroelastic instabilities experienced by tiltrotor aircraft at high forward speeds. Modelling of this phenomenon is done using in-house FEA codes which are then verified by testing the Maryland Tiltrotor Rig (MTR) in the Glenn L. Martin Wind Tunnel on campus. Through this study, in addition to building a strong foundation in rotorcraft engineering theory and design principles, I have gained experience in experimental wind tunnel testing, test engineering, finite element analysis, MATLAB programming, and Simulink development. This builds on my 1.5 years of previous rotorcraft work experience at Boeing, Ridley Park, where I worked on the V-22 Osprey Mission Systems team. My passion is rotorcraft and I intend to join a company where I can design and build the vertical lift aircraft of the future.
