This position is focused on training and development, from many different perspectives as the role is designed to help understand all aspects of the insurance business. After the first few months of training, my day to day activities have been primarily on the sales side. Focusing primarily on personal lines, I have sold Auto, Fire, Life, Disability and Hospital Indemnity policies. Learning each of these lines of insurance well enough to articulate them well to customers has been a great challenge but something that I take pride in doing well. I also take pride in being a key contributor at an agency that is consistently nationally ranked near the top of many sales metrics for State Farm. The majority of the work that we is as subcontractors at Marta in Atlanta, but do also smaller jobs for different businesses throughout the southeast. A classic teenage- early college job, working at Shutters Plus LLC taught me practical lessons about hard work that I needed to learn at the time. A basic example of this would be getting to work on time at 7 am, and how 'being on time' for work, means more than just showing up a minute before you are due, it means being ready and prepared to work before you are due to clock in.
