Manage all mining activities of a $310 M cost reimbursable open pit copper mine. Washington Division operates a fleet of truck-and-shovel equipment at the mine to provide 24 million tons of ore annually. Direct activities of 190 craft and 42 staff. Production Manager, Kirkvine and Ewarton Bauxite Mines, WINDALCO, Jamaica. Responsible for assuring production quality and quantity targets are met at this five-million-tonne-per-year bauxite mining operation, which produces about one-third of the island’s total bauxite. Production crews under his supervision work 24 hours per day, seven days per week, to assure reliable production and continuous operation of the processing facilities. Also responsible for directing the training and safety programs at the mines. Production Superintendent, Glamis Millennium Mine, Glamis Marigold Mining Company, Valmy, Nevada. Supervised eight department managers with a total on site staff of 120 employees. Led the team in the construction and startup of the Standard Mine. Managed transition to dual mine site operations. Poured gold seven months after start of construction.
