Performed Electromagnetic Immunity/Emission testing on various pieces of electrical equipment ranging from medical devices to household appliances. Working experience navigating ISO standards: IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 61326-1, FCC15, CISPR11, CISPR32, CISPR24, IEC 61000-6-2, IEC 61000-6-4. Daily responsibilities included analyzing quotes, performing testing to indicated standards, setting up test equipment, answering questions related to the above standards and testing practices, and administrative tasks such as starting/stopping projects, addressing emails, and helping clients and coworkers as needed.

-This summer internship was a 3 month project where I was mentored on how antinociceptive drugs are tested, specifically looking at how the drug effects the protein cascade on the kappa opioid receptor and which proteins cause antinociception. -Learned and refined multiple skills during this period:Western BlottingProtein Quantification through light spectometryHandling of mice: including injections, euthanasia, brain dissections, handling of tissues.-Had to give a 10 minute powerpoint presentation to peers, physicians, scientists, and laymen audience about my project and my findings. Also had to field and answer questions about the project.
