Currently I am working as an IT Support Specialist at Metro Nashville Public Schools. Although I've been happy working there for the last nine years, lately I've been eager to "expand my horizons" and seek out new career challenges. I knew that the main obstacle standing in the way of my growth in the computer field was IT certifications, so I met with an advisor at New Horizons Computer Learning Center and set up a certification pathway. It was a risk on my part but I persevered, and as of now I have five certifications – A+, Network+, Security+, Server+ and Cloud+ – and plan to add more as I venture into the job market. Now is my time to shine, and that's exactly what I plan to do.I am a highly skilled IT Support Specialist with over 10 years’ experience which includes providing direct customer support and technical assistance to various technology users in areas ranging from electronic technologies, computer security, network management, and software applications.
