I'm a mechanical engineering graduate student at Miami University with a passion for mathematics, aerospace, and simulation. I'm currently on track for degree conferral in January 2025.Over the course of my undergraduate career, I’ve accumulated 6 years of research experience under several different research groups. My current academic focus is on completing my thesis under Dr. Edgar Caraballo, which involves using clustering schemes and surrogate Markov models to validate reduced order models of subsonic turbulent flows. The primary models of interest are generated using POD-Galerkin, DMD, and DMD-Galerkin, but I've developed working knowledge of other ROM methods. We also examine the different types of dynamics that these models capture from the same set of input data. I plan to release the codebase associated with that project on github in Q2 2025.Up until Spring 2021, I was working under Dr. David Munday on a novel concept for external thin-film cooling in gas turbines. This project was originally slated to be my Master’s thesis before my advisor and the university parted ways. Up until the conferral of my bachelor's degree, I was heavily involved with Miami’s chapter of AIAA, serving as it’s secretary during my Junior year. Within that organization I participated in AIAA’s 2020 DBF competition before the event was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, built a small rocketry team within the organization, and eventually participated in their 2021 Space Cup America Proposal. Alongside my studies, I worked part-time within the Physics department of Miami University, where I designed and manufactured various pieces of hardware for professors, graduate students, and lab courses. This provided me with a robust background in CAD and both traditional and additive manufacturing. Outside of class, work, and research, I enjoy musicianship, running, hiking, and, when the occasion arises, reading something other than a textbook.
Listed skills include 3D Printing, Computer Aided Design, Machining, Design, and 26 others.
