Through collaboration with Silvestrum Climate Associates and the University of Alaska, Anchorage, I performed a pilot study to quantify the amount of carbon sequestered in Kenai Penninsula peatlands. Fieldwork included conducting site surveys and collecting cores, after which samples were processed in the laboratory (bulk density and % loss on ignition). Data were analyzed in Excel and ArcGIS. I presented this project at the 2021 Fall American Geophysical Union Conference. -

Additionally, I performed the duties of a laboratory technician including monitoring the laboratory's chemical stock and coordinating with other research groups about equipment. -
