Graphic Design: Worked as in-house cover and internal designer for Children's and Middle Grade, Trade and Humor, Fiction and Gift imprints. Heavy emphasis on originating direction and concept of covers, typography, image compositing, paper and finishing treatments. Experience with licensed products and strict brand guideline adherence (Sesame Street, Hello Kitty, Spongebob Squarepants, Peanuts).Production Artist: Responsibilities included full book cover layout, photo retouching, manipulation and color correction, preflighting and prepping files for print. Additional responsibilities: Oversaw training of design interns, completed various design tasks for marketing and publicity departments, light copywriting.

Oversaw every aspect of layout of up to four 16-20 page community newspapers weekly. Worked with editorial staff to produce a great deal of content under tight deadlines. Handled troubleshooting printing issues. Oversaw hiring of additional design staff members.

Sole designer of weekend arts guide, responsible for the design of several weekly publications, part of design team producing daily newspaper.
