After 42 of Electron Microscopy, circumstances at my last employer forced me to take early retirement. But still in heaven sitting in front of a Scanning Electron Microscope, my former employer, Hitachi High Technologies hired me as a contractor specializing in SEM training.Besides my contracting with Hitachi, I have my own small business license to offer my services to companies with Hitachi brand SEMs who would like to learn how to get the best performance out of their equipment. I have experience with all models of Hitachi Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopes as well as Variable Pressure Tungsten and Field Emission Microscopes as well.I have also taught Electron Microscopy classes at San Jose State University, and Ohlone College. I have also conducted one day seminars on FESEM and VPSEM at Ohlone College.I'm an annual presenter and supporter of Career Day for the Alameda County School district. Career Day inspires children to stay in school and obtain a college degree.I have co-authored papers involving SEM in Scientific American, Nature, Biology Today, and Microscopy Today.I worked as an SEM consultant on the Hollywood sets of "Quincy," "Andromeda Strain," and "Virus."
