As the Operations Superintendent at WPWMA, I am responsible for overall oversight and management of all on-site operations at our Roseville campus. The four major on-site operations include; Western Regional Sanitary Landfill, Western Regional Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), Western Regional Composting Facility, and the Construction and Demolition (C&D) Facility. In addition to these day-to-day operations, I am also responsible for department budgeting, including fund and project forecasting, capital improvements, and administrating WPWMA contracts.

As an Environmental Specialist with the Environmental Management Department’s (EMD) Environmental Compliance Division, I am a member of the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA), medical waste, and wells programs. My duties in the LEA program include the review and inspection of landfills, transfer stations, composting facilities, and anaerobic digesters within the county to verify adherence to state and county regulations. As a member of the medical waste program, I review medical waste permit applications and inspect medical waste generating facilities to ensure proper medical waste storage and disposal. Finally, as a member of the wells program I am responsible for inspecting soil borings, well constructions, and well destructions within the county to ensure the safeguarding of groundwater and adherence to state and county regulations.

I specialize in the review, approval, and inspection of public water systems and domestic/industrial water wells. As a district inspect I review, approve, and inspect septic systems, food facilities, and public pools in my district to ensure compliance with county and state regulations.
