I assist on a delivery team that covers the Spearfish, Hot Springs, and Edgemont markets. I have assisted in various other markets as well - Keystone, Hill City, Sturgis, Deadwood, Newell, and Lead. Our duo team moves over 20,000 lbs daily through the delivery and rotation of beer. We also deliver and handle various keg sizes. On days exceeding 1,000+ cases, I will drive a work van and handle all smaller, tight spots.

Returned to the Rapid City office as a Residential Technician after a few months into COVID. At this time, it was more important to be around to help family so moved for that reason. Returned to my original installation duties but also become one of the technical field trainers. I have trained 7 technicians on the installation process for Broadband Technicians. Since I came back I also went through 2-days of paid training in fiber installation, and have spent a few hours at home splicing.

After 6-months of work, I was promoted to the Network Operation Center in Sioux Falls. In this position I would handle any node alarms and handle contacting technicians in order to route to affected areas. We also managed a ticket and email bin for any network related issues occurring company wide - email account setting management, DMCA database management, configuration and setting changes (on fiber switches - Cisco and Adtran, as well as Ethernet switches), Copper Switch Management, Working with third party companies (to handle outages, internal troubleshooting, or external troubleshooting), and/or DSL management. In this position I created a secondary database for Network Intrusions to mimic the database of the DMCA violations, in order to track offenses from certain IPs. I also wrote multiple procedural forms to the process to which the databases should be used. We managed our own SharePoint, and I updated every reference in order to make sure all proper documentation for position was present. We would perform mass upgrades for modems/EMTA over coaxial or DSL. We also would perform all configuration changes for all phone provisioning on the residential and business side. I was trained in backup procedures in case of critical emergency and took on-call after one week of in-house training. I'm trained in handling company communication in outage or critical situations and am no stranger to long hours and short nights.

I always wanted to have a career in the Networking field, and started with a career with the local Broadband Internet Provider. I was hired on as a Residential Broadband Technician where I was trained in the full installation process of Tap to Home. In this position we started with a few weeks of mixed office and field training. After a month of training I went solo. I'm fully trained in Broadband installation from ground boxes or poles to the home. I also helped train and educate customers on the proper use of internet-capable devices.

I worked at Knight Security as a Security System Installer. In this position we would handle customer contact as well as full installation of DMP security systems and Hikvision camera systems. On all system installations, we would either perform a wireless installation or a wired installation. We performed installs for both commercial and residential clients. We also serviced multiple various brand of fire protection, camera, and security systems. In this position I performed multiple multi-story installs pulling fire-rated, data-com, or Ethernet wire. I can install security systems, camera systems, door strike locks and I can service most used systems today. In company down time we also performed all service to Company vehicles and general property maintenance.

A position I held temporarily while earning my associates degree at Western Dakota Technical Institute. In this position we would troubleshoot software and operating system issues on Staff computers and personal devices. We also assisted in performing credential changes in the school database for students who had lost their credentials. Occasionally students would leave their laptops in order for us to set up the Microsoft Office suite and any programs related to their program, if they required such assistance.

This was a summer position I held to assist the local school district in finding and replacing all current leased computers. A smaller team and I also assisted in upgrading the operating systems of the company owned computers via a network boot protocol. This also included preforming upgrades and IP rerouting on all desktop-client machines.

I worked at the School of Mines help desk during my first semester of college. In the help desk we would troubleshoot and diagnose problems with Fujitsu laptops. This would be anywhere from Operating System changes, hardware troubleshooting, to software troubleshooting (CAD, virus protection programs, etc.). We preformed all internal repairs in-house. We also would load a pre-configured OS onto hard drives before releasing to end users.
