After working in the restaurant industry, and through my studies at the University of Florida, my interest in food industry has taken off. I firmly believe that the best knowledge is gained through personal, hands-on experience. I worked my way up through the restaurant I worked at to a prep cook role by making myself available to learn from my co-workers. The University of Florida classes provide the knowledge I would need to be successful in the food industry. I learned about all the various parts in a company and how each play a role to developing a product. I was introduced to numerous forms of analyzing food products. Ranging from instrumentations to sensory analysis. I want to create and be inventive. That is what propels industry forward. That is what I want to do. Developing, learning, and pursing my passions are what drive me. I do not know what industry, better than the food industry, to satisfy my desires.
