Developed Oracle PL/SQL packages and procedures to merge HR and Payroll data for over 3500 current and ex-employees, along with their full history (DateTracking) into another existing Oracle Applications database. Also developed packages and procedures to apply updates to the employee data after the merge.

Worked on Pioneer's Purchases Order and Quoting system. Wrote routines to load and unload data into and from Pioneer's proprietary database. This was a process used to interface this application to other applications within Pioneer Standard.

VAX/VMS to Alpha/VMS migration. Responsible for Pathworks V4.1 to V5.1 migration. Setup for TCP/IP connectivity. Provided MS Mail Support

Set up and tested procedures to backup and recover RDB databases.Provided PATHWORKS V4.1 and V5.0 support and configuration.Wrote DCL programs to automate system management tasks.Facilitated All-in-1 migration to new Alpha system.Migrated a Powerhouse application from VAX to Alpha.Implemented Network Coexistence to provide both DECnet and Novell connections for PCs.

Developed and maintained multiple VAX/VMS applications which monitor and control operations at LTV Steel's Cleveland's East Side Continuous Caster. One of the projects during this assignment was to build a Database Warehouse using data from multiple applications across multiple platforms ( IBM & DEC ). This data was then normalized, linked and loaded into ORACLE/RDB so it could be used for Corporate Reports and Accessed by users using any SQL compliant 4GL or Report Writer.

Developed VMS applications to monitor and control refinement operations for the Harrison Avenue Ladle Facility. Applications written in FORTRAN using DECforms and Oracle/RDB.

Set up and tested VIDA (VAX/VMS to IBM Database Access) and SQL. LTV Steel – 2 year projectDeveloped and enhanced various applications that monitored and controlled continuous casting operations, tracked equipment maintenance; and estimated chemical analysis of steel. The applications were typically written in FORTRAN and assessed RMS and RDB databases. EDS/NASA Lewis - 6 month projectProvided VAX/VMS systems expertise for the installation, implementation, and testing of the NASA Lewis Information Management System. General Electric - 3 ½ year project Designed, developed, and implemented a quality analysis application for plant floor use by all GE lamp plants. The applications were written in FORTRAN and accessed RMS and RDB databases. Started this project as junior developer, worked up to the position of being the team leader of the four person DEC team. Installation and Warranty Support (1982 – 1985)Installed and provided warranty support for VAX/VMS, RSTS/E and RSX-11 operating systems along with dozens of other DEC layered products.
