I was born in New York, NY, and raised in the Bronx. I graduated from Alfred E. Smith Vocational High School with a certificate in architectural drafting. I joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve in June 1995 and over the course of almost three decades, I served at five different units, including four as the unit’s Senior Enlisted Advisor. I retired as a Sergeant Major from the Marine Corps Reserve in 2022, after twenty-seven years of service, holding the final billet of Group Sergeant Major for an aircraft group comprised of ten separate units and approximately 3,000 personnel. I obtained a tremendous amount of leadership experience over the course of those 27 years and my leadership skills have been well developed and honed in that time. In 2004, I joined the New York City Police Department. I graduated as the Honor Sergeant of my recruit class and served as a patrol officer in the Bronx until 2006. In May of 2006, I joined the New York State Police and subsequently served as a road Trooper until 2014. Afterward, I served as a Sergeant for several years at multiple locations in the state of New York. I was promoted to Lieutenant in 2020 and served as a commissioned officer supervisor in NYC during the height of and throughout both civil protests/unrest and the COVID-19 pandemic. I then served as an investigations Lieutenant in NYSP's Professional Standards Bureau (PSB). Following that assignment, I return to the operational field, serving as an Assistant Zone Commander in Troop K. Upon promotion to Captain I was reassigned to PSB as an Administrative Captain.I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from SUNY Empire State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Marist College in New York. I am a Christian and an active member of my local church.
