I am a Civil Engineer with a Master of Science in Structural Engineering. I graduated from the University of Cape Town with both BSc (2014) and MSc (2017) in Civil engineering. During my studies I took an interest in the structural material, concrete and concrete reinforcement design. I further researched concrete through CoMSIRU, where I was able to gain theoretical and practical knowledge during my electives and site investigations. During my MSc my interests included concrete strength, condition assessment, maintenance of existing concrete structures and structural design, both reinforced concrete and steel.I worked for Grenco Projects and Construction for 2 years as a Site Agent. My work entailed: inspection of works for quality control, project specifications, building standards, environmental and safety compliance as well as management of teams to meet deadlines. I worked on several projects, mainly in the residential sector.
