- Monitoring and advising the aviation data team on what changes in the aviation marketsmay affect values (before or as they happen). - Finding raw information about aircraft trades: aircraft type, MSN/registration, buyer andseller, date, transaction price by using a combination of desktop research and leveragingcurrent relationships within the lessor, broker, lender, owner, operator, appraiser, consultantand investor community. - Building an industry network of contacts that can provide additional data and market insight. - For each transaction, extrapolating from raw price data to arrive at a DerivedPrice that reflects the assumptions necessary for input into the regression model and thatconform to the VV Market Value Disclaimer. - Deciding the suitability of each Derived Price data point for inclusion as a Comparable Sale inthe regression: analysing the effect on the regression curve and adjusting the weighting accordingly. - Monitoring the regression parameters daily to ensure variations are defensible, andtroubleshooting when irregularities occur. - Collecting all relevant supporting information for the Reports and Derived Prices. - Providing the Reports Price, Derived Price and supporting statements for publication on theVV web portal as part of the Deals Database and the Comparable Sales. - Participated as Subject Matter Expert as needed by the sales team: attending prospect andclient calls and meetings (including travel where needed), defending VV’s aviation product. - Supporting product enhancement and new product development by providing aviationspecialist expertise to the modelling, data and development teams as needed.
