Working within a healthcare organization has provided some very unique opportunities to use the technologies I love to provide support to a critical industry. In my time with Banner I have been responsible for inventory management, hardware refresh, software installation and troubleshooting. I have also served as a trainer for new employees and as a team lead. I have worked with team members and management to set goals and prioritize projects in order to accomplish as much as possible with available resources. I am responsible for maintenance of printers and copiers for customers of Professional Document Solutions. This includes maintaining relationships with multiple vendors and managing inventory to facilitate quick turnaround on repairs. Service is mostly on site, so I deal directly with customers, often in their homes or small businesses. Maintenance often includes troubleshooting network and PC problems that interfere with printing processes. I also generate leads for our sales staff by listening to customer concerns and complaints.

I installed, stained and finished floors for customers, often dealing with them directly. I also maintained sanding equipment and drove company vehicles.

I was part of the fire control division on board the USS Jacksonville. We participated in two Mediterranean deployments and numerous exercises and operational readiness evaluations while I was on board. I trained new recruits on the basics of fire control, performed regular maintenance on the computers and hardware that made up the system. While on watch I was responsible for coordinating information about ships in the area for safety reasons as well as conducting visual searches to aid in tracking the positions of those contacts. I was also responsible for employment of weapons. This included maintaining mission plans for tomahawk missiles and regularly updating them in the fire control system to reflect current real world conditions.
