Carrying out research and analysis with regard to technologies, strategies and current events for clients that include major oil refiners and vendors of refining technologies. Work is released through extensive published written projects. Notable work includes:o Technology Review - Quarterly project where major trends are detected and projected for individual processes within oil refineries. This is achieved through research into current state-of-the-art technologies and plant operational practices, and an analysis of recently released patents and major research papers, coupled with studies into major market projections and government legislation that is expected to directly impact the refining process in question.o Refinery Power Outage Report - Project where data analysis helped to detect major causes of power outages within oil refineries and suggest solutions. By deciphering major causes to plant shutdowns, technological and strategic recommendations were developed in order to best prevent and respond to power outages. Report released in 2014. Work to be presented at the AIChE Spring Meeting in Austin, Texas in April 2015.o FCC Analytics Report - Assisted in a Gap and SWOT analysis for owners, operators and vendors of fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) technology. Current and upcoming technologies were identified in order to best respond to market conditions directly relevant to the FCC process. Analysis allowed for the identification of opportunities and recommendations for clients.

Taking part in the design of fire sprinkler systems for both systems in need of modification and brand new projects in the New York City and Long Island area. Involves visiting sights for sight surveys, coordinating with existing structures and planned additions to avoid conflict, and performing pressure drop calculations to determine necessary flow-rate and pump pressure to guarantee full protection. Final designs are drawn out on Auto-Cad, with emphasis on human factors for field workers.
