The Command & Data Handling (CDH) subsystem plays a vital role in the development of the CubeSat. I am working on ultra-fast laser micro machining for surgical applications and advanced manufacturing of biomedical devices with the McMaster Biophotonics Research Group. My main project included programming a GUI in C++ in order to control the linear translation stages and various other peripherals of the micromachining station and Fiber Laser.

McMaster Interdisciplinary Satellite Team is designing and manufacturing a CubeSat Satellite to be sent into low earth orbit in order to study the effects of ionizing radiation on the human body. As an orbital simulation specialist, I design and implement computational physics simulations to inform design decisions for other sub teams, as well as contributing to the design and implementation of MISTs Passive Magnetic Attitude Control System.

As a mechanic, my responsibilities included diagnosing and addressing issues with customer products, including whole bicycle repair, as well and diagnosis and repair on individual, specific parts. I have considerable experience in improving upon customer satisfaction, thus improving my communication skills involving unconventional and technical topics with a non-technical audience. I also learned proper problem diagnosis skills through daily exposure to multifaceted mechanical and structural problems.

I demonstrated important time-management skills as time was of critical importance while performing tasks related to the vehicles.
