Responsible for all the Electrical Distribution with in both the water and waste water facilities. Work on and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Keep a Preventative Maintenance Program on all of our Motors, Breakers, Transformers, Disconnects and Motor Control Centers (MCCs). This includes Megg readings, Amp readings and all around condition of the electrical items. Have been on 24hr. Emergency stand-by, working through problems such as Loss of power, over flows, Utility Power Supply (UPS) losses and generator malfunctions. Install new MCCs and Relay Centers. Create my own Lay-outs and prints for anything I install using the punch CAD V9 Program. Work with various contractors on expansion jobs, in keeping with the growth of surrounding developers. I also hold a Journeyman License.

Worked with Progress Energy in there Substation Department. Installed miles of grounding wires using UTMs and Cad Welds. Landed many different styles of steel structures and raked them in. Landed Insulators onto the steel structures. Pre-drilled and Hung Aluminum buss and Welded the riser into place. Ran multiple Tailboards on basic safety and procedures including the location of work and what areas are going to be engaged and what areas are going to be disengaged. Hands on experience with control house wiring, including but not limited to Relays, Battery Racks, Terminal Blocks, Floor and Ceiling Wire Trays. Calibrated any switches that were installed including both motorized and manual operated switches. Installed and wired many different styles of breakers, ranging from 13KV to 230KV. Landed and wired Current Transformers and Potential Transformers.
