As the Assistant Director of the International and Global Studies Program at UNCG, I am responsible for teaching the Introduction to Global Studies Course, IGS 200, as well as co-teaching the program’s capstone course with the program director as needed. My administrative duties include advising & mentoring, organizing activities and events for IGS students, serving as the faculty advisor for the International and Global Studies Student Organization, publishing both the weekly and annual IGS Program newsletters, and arranging and conducting the program’s Global Spotlight lecture series. I also created and administered an internship program with a local non-profit, Reading Connections.

Member of the 2019 Faculty in Training program cohort. Taught two courses on world history from prehistory to 1500 C.E. as well as participated in weekly professional development workshops designed to help aspiring community college professors gain the skills and knowledge required to secure full time employment. Unfortunately, I had to leave GTCC after the Fall 2019 semester to pursue further opportunities at UNC Greensboro.
