The last few pockets of this unique ecosystem is endangered by open pits from mining activities in the area.Hidro Intag is a conservation project, its objective is to secure investments for 10 micro hydroelectric plants. Hidro Intag's committee is held by members of numerous NGOs such as Rain Forest Concerns along with local and international government institutions.

Open Arms Trust is an Orphanage in Malawi taking care of infants between the age of 0 and 3 years old. As a personal project, I raised funds in Europe in an effort to create a local funding initiative which would revolve around agriculture. My aim while on the field had been to simultaneously help the local farming industry and provide support to children’s welfare. The plan was a success. It provided the local school with free supplies , and the agricultural production in these villages increased. The project after completion was taken over by Open Arms Trust a DFID linked organisation.
