He is involved in all the thorny areas of ASC management, including operating agreement issues, payer contracting, physician transactions, hospital joint ventures, facility expansion and financing, etc. Prior to joining CSA, Mr. Bitterli's career as Managing Director for Northington Partners included institutional research, investment banking, and the investment and management of over $115 million of private equity in Northington's two funds. He was also Northington's Chief Financial Officer, with tax and financial reporting responsibilities.As a manager of private equity investments for 17 years, Bill reviewed hundreds of insurance, financial services and healthcare-related business plans, was responsible for the identification, due diligence, valuation, structuring and negotiation of potential investments, and served as fund representative to several Boards of Directors.As an investment banker, Mr. Bitterli was involved in numerous buy- and sell-side engagements, strategic advisory and capital raising assignments, valuations, fairness opinions and initial public offerings. Earlier in his career as a research analyst, he followed 20 publicly traded companies and issued investment recommendations to 70 of the largest institutional investors in the US.
