As the new SparkLab Leader for Rockingham County Schools, I oversee not just one, but three amazing STEM labs where innovation and hands-on learning come to life through SparkNC programs. My mission? To brand, increase membership and achievements while empowering students to dive into cutting-edge fields like game design, engineering, cybersecurity, AI, software development, and business—basically, all the cool stuff that's industry-relevant.With a background in teaching at both secondary and college levels, coaching swim and soccer, and leading esports, I’ve mastered the art of making learning fun and inspiring students through challenge. Since stepping into this role, I’ve helped quadruple esports participation across four high schools, all while keeping my eye on boosting attendance and grades. Whether it's game design, expanding esports, or working with young minds, I absolutely love helping Rockingham County Schools’ students learn how to apply hidden talents in the world of STEM.
