Between March of 2019 - March of 2022 I worked for Blue Buffalo, a pet food manufacture. Here I started as a warehouse operator where I quickly learned how to utilize the machinery we used such as sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Problem management and crisis mitigation were both skills I honed in this postition with the day-to-day curve balls. After about a year I was promoted to Warehouse Lead, in this position my day to day activities remained the same for the most part, the big change was leading others. I learned how to address issues with others in a calm and effective manner. A big project I was a part of was the implementation of the LTT (Line To Truck) shipping style we introduced while I was there. This was a big plus for the company given it expedited shipping and allowed more product to flow faster while still running fairly lean. I transitioned to IT after I received my degree in IT Support, and I now work for Phillips Tube Group. In this role I support just about everything that plugs in or has a screen. I have learned a fair amount of SQL as well as many other support techniques. A project we are currently working on is the roll out of our new ERP system and making sure our users can navigate it efficiently and do their job effectively. Replacing computers, troubleshooting printer issues, and implementing new software are also some of my duties. Me and my team are always looking for better ways to serve the company with things like more effective security measures and more user-friendly applications.
