VICC (www.vicc.org) is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with over 300 physician-scientists and researchers that ranks in the top 10 in competitive grant awards.As a senior Java enterprise software developer and architect I was responsible for design, implementation, and integration of software as well as mentoring of other developers. Some of the more interesting projects that I worked on while there were to:Build a system to allow for integrated clinical trials queries over VICC and NCI data including both explicit and implicitly-inferred annotations regarding mutation-gene-drug-disease relationships. A service layer of this system was integrated with the Vanderbilt EHR system. A public version is available at http://www.mycancergenome.orgDesign and build an extensive application for electronic submission, approval, review and certification of all new cancer-related studies at Vanderbilt.Develop a centralized application to manage information about people, such as physicians, within the cancer center. Designed and developed the School of Engineering's public website.

I developed educational testing / training software products targeted at web, desktop and Palm markets. While at Sair I also contributed technical training material on linux administration and networking as well as co-edited a three book training series covering Java and object-oriented programming.
