Worked as a senior member and co-lead of a Java/Spring-based project and a distributed team transitioning into the IDEXX ecosystem following a recent acquisition. Participated in functional grooming, planning, and software development in an Agile/Scrum environment, acting as an experienced Scrum developer and mentor. Also assisted DevOps engineers in maintaining and aligning infrastructure with Amazon Web Service technologies, as well as tools like Datadog, New Relic and Sumo Logic.

Lead an Agile team in the maintenance and enhancement of a real-time message processing system using Apache Storm, and a batch system utilizing Hadoop, JCascalog, and Apache Sqoop.

Worked as part of an Agile team to design and develop web applications using the latest Java technologies, like Spring and Hibernate, and Oracle database technologies, hosted in the Amazon cloud (AWS). Worked as part of an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support to high-availability applications.

Maintained and enhanced a high-volume, Java-based retail website using a third-party proprietary e-commerce framework. Architected and implemented business functionality using J2EE, AJAX and MySQL, and implemented website designs provided by a web designer using CSS and XHTML. Also developed and maintained internal, business-critical tools, using Spring MVC and Hibernate, providing reporting and forecasting to improve company productivity and marketing abilities.

As a member of Engineering, worked with a small team to develop enhancements and maintain a J2EE-based enterprise application using J2EE, Struts, Hibernate, JavaScript and JSP. Also had significant exposure to deploying and administering J2EE applications on both Windows and Red Hat Servers, using both JBoss and WebSphere technologies.As a member of Sustaining Engineering, worked individually with support to provide patches and enhancements to clients using PowerBuilder/Oracle client-server software. This includes the creation of patch documentation, as well as technical specifications for application enhancements. Development was done in both PowerBuilder and PL/SQL.
