The Universal Services Advocate, Employment and Training, Veteran Inc., is one of the many services that Vets Inc provides with a wide spectrum of supportive team services, from mental health, with co occuring conditions,individual and group therapy, residential treatment, addiction counseling, employment services and other resources. As part of a large team of employment advocates, we provide individual support to aligning Veterans to employment training, skill support, networking, and work with providers and employers with each of the Veterans. As a Veteran myself, the relatable experience I have had greatly enhances the approach and underlying needs that are often unique to military veterans.

Paid intern at Veterans Incorporated, a non-profit organization that provides a multitude of social services to military veterans with co-occurring conditions, working under the Continuing Employment Pathways grant to rotate through all departments of the non-profit, with a particular focus on substance abuse counseling, case management, veteran's housing, and veteran's employment services. 6-month internship is supervised and is also being utilized as part of the UMASS Boston practicum for a licensed alcohol and substance abuse counseling state certification. Responsibilities include being mentored, advised, coached, and utilized through the various departments and their clinical supervisors and operational managers on the non-clinical side. These include rotations through mental health case management and counseling, operations, Veterans Housing Assistance Program, Veterans Employment Services, Marketing and Outreach, and Veterans Government Liaison Project Manager
