Web Service Software Factory Modeling Edition provided the foundation for the modeling, and CodeSmith was used for code generation.

The rule engine was encapsulated in a web service, and promoted the highest-level of re-use across the architecture by allowing rules to be reused across the same product, same product-line, and even across-product-lines with little-to-no change in code.Developed proof-of-concept solutions for a replacement windows client which would match the modularity of the existing web client using the Smart Client Software Factory and Component Application Block (CAB). Lessons-learned from the proof-of-concept were vital to the success of the new windows client application.Designed and developed APIs and web services (ASMX and WCF) to support best practices related to logging, auditing, and system health assessment.Contributed to design reviews of new designs and practices to ensure they were in line with Chase Enterprise architectural approaches, adhered to corporate policies, and took into consideration technology advancements to be employed later such as Windows Communication Foundation.Introduced and responsible for evangelizing and demonstrating basic and advanced techniques revolving around automated unit-testing.

Introduced agile development techniques, such as the daily scrum and burn down list with great success and on-time project completion. Managed two of four teams working on a new application platform supporting a new private student loan product. Each team of four developers worked on a separate aspect of the platform. These three-tier applications leveraged ASP.NET, C#, web services and SQL Server 2000 to create a scalable architecture supporting over 30 million dollars in loans in its first year.Designed and contributed to the implementation of the loan processing engine for the private loan product. The design allowed for multiple products to be processed using a single paradigm, with the processing requirements for each product being entirely configurable and data driven. This allowed for a future product variation to be created in under two weeks. Managed a number of software maintenance cycles for the private loan product. These maintenance cycles included defect fixes and product enhancements, and were performed by a team of four developers.Provided mentoring, design guidance, review, and advice to all of the developers and contributed to the professional development of a number of junior developers who eventually became maintenance cycle and project tech leads.
