Attabotics’ 3D automated storage and retrieval system allows retailers to quickly adapt their supply chains to meet the demands of modern consumer behavior. At Attabotics, I create documentation that makes it easy for teams to communicate and educate, both externally (with customers, to make adopting our products as easy as possible) and internally (to simplify cross-functional work). My main responsibilities include:• Leading and growing a team of technical writers. This includes strategic planning, project planning and prioritization, and managing the team’s toolset. • Documenting the features of our control system for internal and external audiences, including API documentation.• Working with stakeholders and teams throughout the organization on projects ranging from lock out, tag out (LOTO) training programs, to requirements gathering for R&D products.

Aucerna provides integrated strategy, business planning, petroleum economics, and reserves management software solutions for the upstream energy industry. Following the acquisition of Aclaro Softworks by 3esi-Enersight, I joined the documentation team. The new company was renamed Aucerna. My responsibilities included:• Enhance the use of MadCap Flare and GitHub to develop a common product documentation platform for multiple distinct software applications. This enabled the management of documentation development and maintenance by multiple authors in an integrated review process — and harmonized the voice and style of user documentation across teams and products.• Work with key stakeholders including product managers and QA team members to develop user documentation, release notes, and other technical documentation.• Implement standard processes for document creation and maintenance across all teams and products (leveraging preexisting team workflows on Jira).

At Aclaro Softworks, I provided comprehensive technical writing services for the company's flagship enterprise software application, petroLook. The firm's clients included multinational energy companies such as Shell and Chevron. Aclaro was acquired by 3esi-Enersight (Aucerna) at the end of 2017. My responsibilities included:• Develop and maintain the in-application user help site, implementation guides, release notes (for internal and external audiences) using Confluence, MadCap Flare, Google Suite, SharePoint and Microsoft Office• Interview SMEs to develop and maintain client-specific training manuals for offsite training sessions • Collaborate with the Product Manager to refine the voice and style of copy for new features• Communicate on a regular basis with the software development team to ensure highly complex topics are accurately reflected in easy-to-follow information for users• Develop and adapt interim user documentation for internal services team to use in testing new software features, prior to releasing for external users• Manage the company’s knowledge base and documentation using Confluence, SharePoint, and Team Foundation Server• Create and track release documentation in-step with each iteration of the software to meet release schedule• Manage content curation and digital publishing process for the company’s internal newsletter
