CurrentAs the Founder and Executive Director of TheCHANGEproject, I provide strategic leadership to a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health equity through community-driven initiatives. My role focuses on utilizing best practices in nonprofit management to ensure impactful and sustainable change. Key responsibilities include:Establishing and guiding the strategic direction of TheCHANGEproject, aligning our programs and initiatives with a bold vision for systemic change in health equity. I work closely with our Board of Directors to set organizational priorities and long-term goals that center community empowerment and justice.Leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of core programs, such as the Health Equity Incubator and the ‘Parity’ media project, ensuring they are responsive to community needs and drive measurable outcomes in dismantling health disparities.Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with community members, leaders, and partners. I prioritize engagement with those directly impacted by health inequities, ensuring their voices and experiences are at the forefront of our advocacy and programming.Advocacy and Policy Leadership: Spearheading advocacy efforts to influence policy changes at local, state, and national levels. I leverage our organization’s expertise and community-driven data to promote policies that address social determinants of health and advance health justice.Organizational Development and Sustainability: Overseeing all aspects of organizational management, including fundraising, financial stewardship, governance, and strategic planning. I lead efforts to secure diverse funding streams and build organizational capacity for long-term sustainability and growth.At TheCHANGEproject, we are redefining how communities address health disparities—driven by the belief that healthcare is a human right and that systemic change begins from within.
