Growing up the son of Mexican immigrants in Colorado, William Navarrete Moreno witnessed firsthand the toll systemic inequalities take on marginalized communities. A rising junior at the University of Colorado Denver with double minors in Biology and Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience, he is pursuing a degree in public health to realize his profound commitment to achieving health equity among marginalized populations and systemic changes in the American healthcare system.At the CU Anschutz, William collaborates on projects within the Department of Family Medicine, focusing on the formation of integrative care models and exploring the impact of allostatic load among Hispanic populations. His research at CU Denver further examined the psychophysiological responses to anti-immigrant rhetoric among university students, highlighting the significant mental and physical health impacts of a hostile sociopolitical environment.As a FACETS Scholar at the Harvard T.H.
