I am a Senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where I am pursuing a degree in finance with a leadership collateral. Since March of 2024 I have worked as an intern at StandardAero within their finance and accounting department. This opportunity has allowed me to gain valuable experience including expense analysis, month end close activities and the ability to communicate and work with director level employees. For the past 6 years, I have owned a landscaping business in Knoxville which includes everything from manual labor to handling the financial aspects of the business. Seeing what it is like to go door to door in hopes of selling my product or understanding what it takes to hire and manage people working for myself has been a learning experience that has helped shape who I am today. Since my passion is in finance and as I look into the next season, this summer I scaled back by landscaping business to just weekend projects and mowing. With these experiences, strengths have developed over the years. Having integrity is the most important strengths that I have acquired during this time and I have seen how it shapes the way choices are made and the results on the other side of those decisions. As a full-time student, Intern and a business owner, having a good work ethic and drive has been a crucial strength that has helped me juggle both workloads in order to be successful. I am passionate about the business and analytical side of finance. Looking forward, my goal is to start my career at an organization where I can learn, contribute and grow while building healthy relationships with those around me.
