Experienced geologist and graduate from Michigan State University with a strong background in geotechnical soil testing, soil classification, soil properties, and hard rock geology.Capable of performing a multitude of soil testing procedures such as Atterberg limits, hydrometers, sieve analysis, specific gravity, unconfined compression, and flex wall permeability etc.During my time at Michigan State University, I was a research assistant and worked on a sequence of lava flows from the Portage Lake volcanics of the Keweenawan Continental Flood Basalt Province. We applied geochemical, petrographic, and stratigraphic techniques in conjunction with Excel based geochemical models. The combined methods provided insight on the temperature and pressure conditions the Portage Lake volcanics crystallized at and how the geochemistry of the erupted lavas evolved temporally. Our work demonstrates how the magmatic plumbing system of the Portage Lake volcanics evolved during the Main stage of the Keweenawan Continental Flood Basalt Province. This work was presented at the 2018 Geological Society of America National Conference and is published in a 2022 Geological Society of London Special Publication.
