I am a student at the University of Manchester, studying Computer Science. As a hobby, I enjoy programming and mathematics, and I have a deep passion for STEM. I previously worked as an IT technician for Haslingden High School, where my responsibilities included providing tech support to colleagues and students, performing computer and system maintenance, handling administrative tasks, and conducting data analysis. This role revealed to me my love for teamwork as we encountered many network, computer, and logistical problems to be solved daily.I studied Computer Science, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics at A-Level, along with an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). My EPQ experience taught me the importance of working well with a leader or coordinator, following strict instructions, and taking advice to complete tasks to the best of my ability. Studying Mathematics and Further Mathematics has honed my problem-solving skills, enabling me to tackle any issue presented to me.I have a history of programming projects, both as team leader and on personal projects. One of my projects achieved a finalist position in the BAFTA YGD national competition. In addition, taking leadership roles within group projects and clubs has highlighted the significance of a functional group dynamic when tackling tasks. Initiating and organizing various clubs and social events throughout my time in college has provided me with opportunities to collaborate closely with lower school students and teachers. This experience has not only allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills but has also deepened my understanding of the importance of supporting an inclusive educational community.
